The NCAA Tournament, Cal, and our bracket challenge.

As usual, we'll be opening early, at noon, on Thursday to show all the NCAA Tournament games possible. (We always open at noon Friday-Sunday.) We have the package, and can show two different games at a time on our two large projection screens. It'll be first-come, first-served--just ask your bartender if there's a game you're interested in. But if you have a large group interested in a specific game, let us know in advance (fiatlux --at-- pacificstandardbrooklyn.com) and we'll see what we can do about reserving a screen for you.

If you're a Cal fan, the first Cal game is at Wednesday at 9 pm against South Florida. We'll have it on both our big screens. If we win, that means another game on Friday, and then, well, let's not get ahead of ourselves.

In related news, we'll be doing our Pacific Standard bracket challenge. If you want to be involved and possibly gain glorious rewards, ask your bartender for details; they can print you out a bracket.

And one other thing: if you're doing the ESPN Tournament Challenge online contest thingy, join Pacific Standard's group, in addition to any others you may be members of. Go here to sign up:

Our group name is Pacific Standard, and the password is "gobears". Oh, and to avoid any confusion, this has nothing to do with the bar's own pen and paper tournament pool. It's just for fun.
