Kings County at Pacific Standard.

Big Pacific Standard news: we're finally carrying local craft spirits, namely the moonshine from the esteemed Kings County Distillery right here in Brooklyn. A little information about them:

Kings County Distillery is New York City’s oldest operating whiskey distillery, the first since before Prohibition. Kings County makes hand-crafted bourbon and moonshine out of a 325-square foot room in five, 8-gallon stills. Our moonshine recently won “Best in Category” for corn whiskey at the American Distilling Institute’s Craft Spirits Conference.

This whiskey is available here in two different ways:

1. Neat as a sweet, smooth, complex sipping drink ($9). This isn't your great-grandpappy's moonshine. It's incredibly easy-drinking and gives your stomach a nice warm glow.

2. In our March cocktail of the month (and possibly beyond), The Corn Holed Fashioned ($10): Kings County corn moonshine, sugar, orange, bitters, cherry.

You have to try this stuff! Come by during happy hours (Monday-Thursday 4-8 pm, Friday 12-8 pm) when you can get it for $1 off, or on our cocktail Wednesdays, where all cocktails are $1 off all night. In addition, just to kick things off right, we'll be doing $1 off Kings County drinks all night Monday-Wednesday of this coming week. Just ask for the Kings County special.
